About the Event
Small Group Resilience Coaching Clinic with Louise Courtney
One of the most common positive consequences of life after a pandemic is an increased awareness of the importance of our social connections!
However, it has also become increasingly evident that, as convenient as these platforms are, social media and online classes are getting in the way of our authentic social connections.
As a response to this I have designed a 4-week Resilience Coaching Clinic.
My aim is to create a safe space for a small group of individuals to connect in an educational, fun, inclusive, non-judgmental environment.
As we come to terms with the ‘new normal’ there has never been a more important time to identify ways to build on our sense of Resilience. ‘The Clinic’ is designed with our innate human needs of feeling connected, feeling valued and having autonomy, in mind.
During this course I will draw on approaches from psychology, counselling, and my Movement for Trauma training to help you achieve transformational change in your life.
During the first 4 weeks you will:
- Learn to recognise your emotions as valuable sources of information
- Gain an understanding of your motivations, values, and needs
- Identify ways to build personal resilience
- Understand that your thoughts may be distorted or irrational. Together we will challenge these maladaptive thought patterns. We will reflect on actions and consequences and experiment with adopting new, more adaptive beliefs in response to life’s challenging events.
- More importantly we will explore the wisdom of the polyvagal theory and gain an understanding of how your nervous system responds to stress.
- We will explore the importance of involving the body to change outdated survival and coping strategies
- We will explore mindful movement techniques to create sensations of strength and power as experimenting with our habits through movement can have a powerful impact on our feelings of worthiness.
During this coaching clinic I draw from my training as a counsellor, personal experience, and intuition. The Clinic is tailored and adopted each week to the energy and changing needs of the group. I will mentor and provide support to the group from the time of booking until 12th May.
You will have the option to join the Resilience Community on completion of the course.
During our time together we will explore psychological theories, exercises and assessment tools that will help guide you on a journey of personal growth.
The first Clinic launches on Thursday 24th March 1030am - 12 noon and will run on Thursday mornings for 4-weeks on 31st March. 7th & 14th April 1030 – 12noon.
We will all return on Thursday 12th May for a 1-hour group check-in at 1030am, this will be a small celebration ceremony and a chance to catch up.
On completion of this programme, you will gain:
- Increased sense of self
