May the Yin be With You
An early summer yin yoga practice which visits (in order): Butterfly 1/2 Dragonfly with SideBend Sphynx Puppy Pose Low Dragon High Dragon & Twisted Roots As always, practice observing and feeling sensations as they arise. Listen very deeply to your body and do what feels right FOR YOU! Honour your boundaries and learn to explore your edge of sensation through moderation.
May Side Flow
Strengthen your legs with a rhythmic series of lunges & warrior 1's with eagle arm variations leading to balancing in warrior 3. Then on the floor, we'll indulge in some deep stretches for the side ribs as well as inner legs before resetting the sacrum with happy baby. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
August Yin Yoga: Low Back and Hip Focus
Low Back, Hips and Hamstrings giving you grief? Enjoy this 90 minute yin yoga practice with a focus on these areas. There is plenty of restful integration in the "Rebound" between the shapes and I encourage you to explore gentle, rhythmic yang movements upon exiting shapes as well if it feels correct. Sequence: Begin in Savasana then Squat Low Dragon Half Split (x2) External Hip Focus- Reclined Ankle to Knee or Prone Swan/Sleeping Swan x2 Sphynx Easy Twist x2 Long Savasana to conclude. Purposeful Yin Yang Flow
Welcome to a new practice from me in a while! This yin yang flow is naturally, slow, purposeful and full of intention. he first half of the yang flow focuses on warming the muscles of the body before strengthening the quads, hamstrings and hips. The second half of the yin practice focuses on accessing the deeper connective tissue of the legs, chest, shoulders and opening the front body. Enjoy!
